Dear Parishioners and Friends, I warmly invite you to join me on Walking in the Footsteps of Saints: A Pilgrimage Through Ireland, a ten-day journey through one of the world’s most beautiful and faith-filled lands. This pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ while exploring Ireland’s rich spiritual heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture. While St. Patrick is perhaps Ireland’s most famous saint, the island has given the Church a remarkable host of holy men and women who proclaimed the Gospel through their lives. Saints such as Bridget, Brendan, Ita, Kevin, and many others continue to inspire Christians around the world. Throughout Ireland, we also encounter a deep love for Our Blessed Mother, most especially at Knock Shrine, one of the great Marian pilgrimage sites of our time. Together, we will visit some of Ireland’s most treasured destinations, including Trinity College and the famed Book of Kells, the Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre, Blarney Castle, the Rock of Cashel, Galway Cathedral, and the majestic Cliffs of Moher. We will experience the warmth of Irish hospitality, enjoy its rich traditions and culture, and gather for fellowship along the way. At the heart of our journey will be opportunities for prayer, reflection, and worship. We will celebrate Mass in several sacred locations, including Mount Melleray Abbey, Holycross Abbey, Galway Cathedral, and the renowned Knock Shrine. These holy places will provide moments of grace, inspiration, and spiritual renewal as we walk together in faith. Pilgrimages are much more than vacations. They are opportunities to step away from the demands of daily life, encounter God in new ways, and strengthen our faith while building lasting friendships with fellow travelers.
